ArtRage artists are planning a live painting show at Sony stores in New York, California and Texas through December 23 where you can stop by the stores to get your portrait painted and try out ArtRage on the VAIO tablets. ArtRage works great with popular multi-touch screens, including Windows 8, Windows 7, iPad and iPhone touch screens. ArtRage lets you become a true digital artist, providing the experience of actually “painting” digitally on a computer canvas with oil paints that smear and blend, and watercolors that flow together to create soft, wet gradations, just as they would with traditional art tools and materials. The good people responsible for ArtRage just announced a special discount for their art creation app for iPhone and iPad during the NAEA Conference (National Art Educators Association) from now until Sunday, March 11. It will be discounted to $2.99 for iPad and $.99 for iPhone. This is a great discount since it’s usually $6.99 and $1.99 respectively.
We’ve covered ArtRage in the past and it’s no joke. You can truly express your artistic side with easy to use painting and drawing tools that work just like the real thing. The app uses a powerful physical paint simulation to allow users of all skill levels to explore natural painting on their mobile devices.
It’s very unique in that it keeps track of how much paint there is and how wet it is, so you can blend colors under the brush as you paint without changing to a blending tool, or lay down thick lines of pigment for flattening and smearing with the Palette Knife. And there is plenty more features we suggest you check out. Download ArtRage.
