The very popular third-person puzzle-action video game Katamari Damacy from Namco is being clumped into an app called Katamari Amore for iPhone and iPad and will be available as of Thursday for $3.99.
The original game was developed for less than $1 million and become a hit in Japan and North America. No matter how much was spent on the iOS version, it’s bound to be a complete blast.
Following the usual format, the game follows the Prince and his “katamari” – a ball that allows smaller things to stick to it – as it rolls around to gather as many objects as he sees fit to increase the ball’s size.
Featuring 24 missions, six environments and four modes, Namco clumped a bonus into the game in the form of a PAC-MAN mode. Should be pretty sweet.
Available this Thursday for iPhone and iPad, Katamari Amore will be free for limited content such as Time Attack mode and a single environment whereas to unlock the entire game, Namco is offering an in-app purchase of $3.99.
