Blood Fever follows Darko, the game’s “vegetarian vampire” as he hunts all over town for a delicious cup or two of a little soy blood. Yes. Soy blood. Hilarious.
While Darko would rather hangout in is pimped out coffin, his mind won’t let him stop thinking about that tasty soy blood, so naturally he’s off to the local watering hole. Only, it’s not as easy as slapping down a buck or two and getting a glass of the good stuff. He has to fight off a number of zombies and that’s where you come in.
Featuring three different worlds and 30 levels, you will be addicted to the Blood Fever iPhone app. The graphics are great, the game play is a blast and the story is hilarious. Come on, a blood thirsty vegetarian vampire named Darko? That’s an excellent idea… I’m just bummed I didn’t come up with it first. It’s original and it’s a lot of fun.
You take control of Darko from the get go and start defending your coffin. If the zombies reach your coffin, you’ll have a chance or two to bump them off, but wait too long and it’s game over.
And by bump them off, I literally mean bump them off. You have to swipe Darko towards the zombies to knock them out. At the beginning, it only takes one swipe, but as the game gets more difficult, it will take a few swipes. But beware, some characters can’t be touched or again, it’s game over.
And as you progress through the levels, you’ll notice that they get more difficult due to the obstacles that are put in the way of your coffin. However, these can actually help you strategy wise. Luckily, the zombies aren’t as smart as you’d think so they’ll bump into the obstacles and give you a second or two more to get to them before they touch your coffin.
Blood Fever, with its awesome story and addictive gameplay is a must buy for $.99. You’ll find yourself going back to it again and again. Enjoy your soy blood and watch out for those relentless zombies.
