Avon Calling? iGrill Creators Expand Offices and Add New Peeps

There’s no doubt that the Apple’s iPhone, iPod touch and iPad have opened up many a new revenue streams for third-party entrepreneurs. One of them is iDevices, the award-winning product development innovator and creator of the iGrill Bluetooth cooking thermometer and iShower water-resistant Bluetooth speaker. In fact, business has been so good that they’re expanding to larger offices in Avon, CT since they’ve outgrown their previous space in Canton, CT.

They’ve also announced four new corporates positions, including:

John Hoffert joins iDevices as Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Hoffert holds an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.  He brings more than 25 years of professional experience in positions where he’s made both technical and business contributions.

Michael Nannini joins the team as an Applications Developer.  Mr. Nannini has seven years of  mobile applications development experience.   Most recently, he served as the lead mobile developer for Exploria SPS in Cromwell, CT, leaving that company for iDevices.  Before Exploria, Mr. Nannini held a position at Venan Entertainment, also in Cromwell.  Nannini attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering and Computer Science.

Sally Knowles joins the team as Marketing & Design Director.  Mrs. Knowles graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Computer Graphics & Graphic Design.  Her 16-year career has included time spent at a Fortune 50 company, as an entrepreneur and as the communications design manager for a national non-profit.  Mrs. Knowles has won numerous awards for her designs and excels at providing creative solutions to both print marketing campaigns and interactive projects that involve usability and user interaction.

Livia Liburdi joins the team as Office Manager/Executive Assistant.  Ms. Liburdi has many years of office experience from a variety of industries. She brings a solid customer service background, operational support and budgetary knowledge to iDevices.  Ms. Liburdi is a graduate of MiddlesexCommunity College, earning her associates degree in 2009 and currently attends the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business, working towards a Bachelor degree with a focus in Marketing.
